Background
The World Green Roof Congress (WGRC) 2010 brings together leading green roof experts from over ten countries, providing an engaging platform for communicating inspirational case studies, research and policy initiatives. This exciting and respected Congress promotes the delivery of green roofs, providing a greater understanding of their integration into the built environment and provision of multiple benefits.
The Congress
Supported by the Mayor of London, Corporation of London, the European Federation of Green Roof Associations, International Green Roof Association, the UK Green Building Council, New London Architecture, RESET, Allen & Overy LLP and Adnams, this successful Congress will promote the delivery of green roofs providing innovative opportunities to adapt to a changing climate, through sharing experiences and knowledge moving their integration into buildings and development into to the mainstream.
Day 1: a practical overview of green roofs, demonstrating their application and showcasing the benefits. There will be a series of inspiring keynote presentations highlighting achievements, both in the UK and overseas.
Day 2: allows delegates to share international experiences on the delivery of green roofs, evidence supporting the benefits as well as the life cycle of implementing green roofs. The Congress will highlight the latest innovations and research to support the effective delivery of green roofs.

The venue
The two day conference is being held at the prestigious offices of Allen & Overy LLP, in Bishopsgate in the heart of the City which has a series of green tiers, with roof gardens overlooking the plaza below. This green roof building serves two benefits to the Congress:
