About Us
Livingroofs.org is an independent UK website to promote green roofs and provide advice for their installation. The site was launched in 2004 as a response to the growing interest in green roofs in the UK, and the need to provide detailed and independent information.
CIRIA is a member-based research association which works to produce best practice guidance with and for the construction industry. This guidance is given in the form of publications and events. Making A Purchase
Click on the event(s) you would like to register for and select 'buy now' to add them to the shopping cart. After you have finished making your selection(s), click on "CheckOut Now" and you will be asked for your name and address details and your preferred method of payment (this section includes options for both free and chargeable selections).
When registering for events:
Where payment is required, Core, CIRIA Books Club, CIEF, CPN and LACL members may request an invoice or pay by credit card. All other customers may pay by credit card or select the 'Invoice And Payment Before Delivery' option to request a pro forma invoice.
We accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express. All prices are in Pounds Sterling. If you are shopping from outside the UK by credit card, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency. You may, as an alternative to using this site, give us your credit card details via phone (+44 (0)20 7549 3300), fax (+44 (0)20 7253 0523), or post (CIRIA, Classic House, 174-180 Old Street, London EC1V 9BP). You must be aged 18 years or over to purchase from the CIRIA website. By placing an order you are deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions.
Tax Charges For registrations made from the UK or the European Union, VAT will be charged at the appropriate rate on all relevant purchases. Most of the products on this site are books and do not therefore attract VAT. Taxable items such as training packs and CDRoms are charged at the standard rated which is currently 17.5%. VAT does not apply to purchases made from outside the European Union and where VAT charges appear you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero.

Credit Card Security
We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
